How We Fell In Love With Puerto Morelos

If someone had told us years ago that we'd one day own vacation homes in the Riviera Maya, we probably wouldn't have believed them. Yet looking back, it feels like we were slowly heading in this direction all along.

For nearly 20 years, we've returned to this beautiful part of Mexico, first staying at resorts and eventually discovering the joy of renting private homes. It didn't take long to realize what we'd been missing—the freedom to experience the destination at our own pace, explore the local community, and enjoy all the comforts of home while on vacation. As retirement gradually came into view, we began searching for a place where we could spend more time ourselves.

Everything changed the moment I walked through the front door of Casa Del Sol. My breath was taken away by the view straight through the house, across the infinity pool, and out to the sparkling Caribbean Sea. We immediately imagined our own family gathering there—children laughing in the pool, long dinners together on the terrace, sunrise walks along the beach, and everyone having enough room to spread out, relax, and simply enjoy being together. We knew we had found something truly special.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of welcoming families, groups of friends, and guests celebrating life's biggest milestones. One of the greatest joys has been introducing people to Puerto Morelos—a place that so many have never heard of before arriving, yet leave wondering why they didn't discover it sooner.

As our love for this remarkable town continued to grow, we knew we wanted to offer another way for guests to experience it. In 2023, we added Casa Perros Afortunados to our collection. Just a short stroll from the beach and town square, this beautiful three-bedroom home offers a spacious rooftop terrace, jungle views, and a private plunge pool—perfect for couples, families, or smaller groups looking for the same relaxed Puerto Morelos lifestyle.

Our goal has never been simply to rent beautiful homes. It's to create places where families and friends can reconnect, celebrate, and make memories they'll talk about for years to come.

Puerto Morelos stole our hearts, and we're grateful every day that we get to share it with others.
